  • Freedom of Movement: What Is It, and Why Is It So important?

    Learn the importance of movement for the young child during an engaging and informative webinar.

    Learn techniques to support emerging gross motor skills in infants and strategies to help assist toddlers in their need for physical activity. Learn how to prepare your home to best support movement and help foster your child's independence.


    Laura Kalama is passionate about her work with young children and applying Montessori principles from infancy. After receiving a BA in Music Education, she spent over 15 years working with infants and toddlers. Laura joined the Prepared Montessorian Institute as a Junior Trainer and Coach and enjoys assisting new Guides in their Montessori journey.

    5, 4, 3, 2, 1 … BLAST OFF! Join us for an evening of fun and engaging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities for the whole family.

    No need to bring your safety goggles, but you will need your thinking cap to enjoy our 2nd annual Family STEAM Night. From the depths of the oceans to the far reaches of space, the whole family will have the opportunity to explore, discover, solve, and create. 

  • Spring Festival & Open House

    Enjoy a Saturday celebrating the season with games, entertainment, activities, and crafts for the whole family. 

    Our Spring Festival is a time for the community to come together and enjoy the season. We will have games, entertainment, activities, and crafts for the whole family to enjoy. Food will be available to purchase so there's no need to leave for lunch.

    No worries if you're not already part of the Guidepost community, you are certainly welcome to attend. Our admin team will be available to answer questions about our programs and we will be giving school tours throughout the festival.
