Celebrating Grandparents Day at Guidepost Montessori
Children across the network created heartwarming memories with their grandparents (and great grandparents!) in honor of Grandparents Day
Last week, at schools across the Guidepost Montessori network, we celebrated intergenerational love and learning in honor of Grandparents Day, which was Sunday, September 10. Children eagerly welcomed their grandparents into the classrooms, creating heartwarming moments through a variety of fun and educational activities. Following are photos from a handful of campuses that capture the essence of the day.
Guidepost at Lake Norman in Huntersville, North Carolina
Lake Norman's Spanish Immersion classroom invited grandparents into the classroom to decorate cookies together.
Guidepost at Cypress Creek in Cedar Park, Texas
Guidepost at Cypress Creek held a “make-your-own” yogurt parfait event to showcase the children’s food prep skills. This turned into a full Montessori work showcase as the children were so excited to show their grandparents what they do in class!
Guidepost at Riverside in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
Guidepost at Riverside invited grandparents to attend a special “Grand Picnic" event in the school's beautiful backyard.
Guidepost at Oak Brook in Oak Brook, Illinois
Guidepost at Oak Brook invited grandparents to the campus for an hour-long peek inside their grandchildrens' classrooms.
Our Grandparents Day celebrations are shining examples of how we aim to engage families and create a deep sense of community on our campuses. We’re looking forward to many more special events and celebrations with Guidepost families in the weeks and months to come!
