explore our programs.

Our approach is designed to empower each child to achieve independence by combining our hands-on curriculum with personalized learning to create an environment where curiosity flourishes, independence grows, and academic excellence is a natural outcome.

We want your child to see and believe: “I am capable!”

what makes us stand out.

How is the Guidepost Montessori approach different from conventional education?.

At Guidepost, we join with parents on their mission to help their child grow and live well. Together, we design an education to empower each child to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence she needs to craft an independent, flourishing life.

Though there are many differences between the conventional approach and Guidepost, here are some of the most important:

Conventional Education vs Guidepost Montessori
What is the Guidepost Mission?.

At Guidepost, our mission is to support each child in achieving her own independence. To do this, we help her gain the knowledge, build the skills, and craft the personal character she needs to flourish. Above all, our goal is to cultivate joy—in the pursuit of knowledge, in effort applied to work worth doing, in the achievements of herself and others, and in taking the steps to author her own life.

What are the outcomes of your programs?.

Montessori education is known world-wide for having positive impacts on both academics and social and emotional skills.

At Guidepost Montessori, when we design an environment to meet the developmental needs and interests of children alongside personalized care and support, the child can learn advanced skills at an accelerated pace.

Our students, for example, regularly learn to read by the time they’re 4-years-old and can perform all four math operations with 4-digit numbers by the end of their Kindergarten year.

The language and math skills of our kindergartners are on a par with what children in conventional programs learn in 3rd grade or beyond! What’s more, our students learn advanced academics joyfully—while simultaneously developing deep focus, self-discipline, and positive social skills.

Do your programs include Kindergarten?.

Yes! The third year of our Children’s House program, designed for 3- to 6-year-olds, is the capstone kindergarten year. In this year, the child has been well-prepared to experience an explosion of literacy, learn advanced math concepts, and use her hard-won ability to focus, problem-solve, and persist through challenges to then make advanced gains across the curriculum. Children who continue with Guidepost through Kindergarten are often well-ahead of their peers when they enter 1st grade.

Following elementary, students continue on to our Montessori middle and high school, the Academy of Thought & Industry: a school that combines a classical liberal arts emphasis on history and great books, and a Montessori emphasis on independence and agency.

How does Guidepost partner with parents?.

At Guidepost, we want to make the best education the best for children and parents. This is why we provide year-round, extended-day programming at no extra cost, enabling consistent and uninterrupted access to the care and developmental support parents expect. We invite you into your child’s world—with daily photo and video updates, regular milestone meetings, and parent-child events that showcase your child’s progress. We work to understand your unique context and needs, so that we can provide support for milestones at home as well as at school.

In everything we do, we strive to cultivate joy as you watch your child grow!

I am delighted to express my immense satisfaction with the teaching skills and staff at Guidepost Montessori school. The knowledge and expertise demonstrated by the teachers have been exceptional. I truly appreciate the individual attention given to each child, including my son, and the dedication to their progress. It brings me great joy to see how the teachers actively share each step and improvement my son makes. Their commitment to providing regular updates and involving parents in the learning journey is highly commendable. Additionally, the caring atmosphere you have cultivated helps my son feel included and motivated to excel. I am grateful for the personal connection established between the teachers, students, and parents. Thank you for going above and beyond in ensuring the holistic development of my child. I enrolled my daughter at just 6 months old. As a new mom I was nervous and skeptical of leaving her at a daycare after the horror stories I’ve heard. After touring many daycares. I found guidepost, specifically the Kendall Park location. Dr. Ali is warm, compassionate, patient and truly loves what she does. Everyone at Guidepost is hands on, willing to help and well trained. They were understanding and considerate of my new mom jitters and went out of their way to provide me with additional updates during my daughter’s transition. My daughter is now 11 months and developmental I’ve seen leaps in her skill sets. They truly meet your child where they are and challenge them daily! I couldn’t have wished for a better day care!

My Daughter has been going there for nearly a year and she loves it. I have seen a dramatic change in her behavior, The Guides have done an amazing job in learning and development. All the credit for her personalities, manners and knowledge goes to the Guides. I am often astonished at how much she learns at such a young age. The guides are caring, compassionate and involved. The Head of the school and guides have been very helpful and communicative with every step of the way. The space is pristinely clean, brand new, well-thought-out and full of natural light in every classroom. I would highly recommend this place in a heartbeat!!

We love this Montessori for many reasons. It is new, clean, bright, ample playground space, etc etc. The management is very receptive to needs of the children and parents, and they actually care!! Their lead guides are very knowledgeable and embody the values of Montessori methodology. This school of certainly a cut above the rest in the area, you will not regret your decision to enroll.

This is my first time writing a review and I am happy to share my experience with Guidepost at Kendall Park! My toddler was the very first student that the Kendall Park campus enrolled and to date, I appreciate all the hard work and thoughtful decisions that all guides, head of school, assistant heads of school, and staff have done. My toddler has been struggling with drop-off and the lead guide and assistant guides in her classroom are always patient, understanding, and supportive. They are demonstrating to my child that her feelings are important and they are there for her. I believe they never pressure her to stop crying or leave her unattended. My child started daycare with limited English skills because we primarily speak Mandarin at home. It is evident that her English skills have been improving and she has been able to do more independent work. Her social, cognitive, and motor skills are definitely developing under the environment that Guidepost has been creating and providing. Guidepost at Kendall Park has been doing a great job creating a sense of community on campus. So far, they have already held two fun events where children and their families got together and had fun. During the midst of the pandemic, they worked really hard to support the caregivers who have to work while maintaining the safety of children and the classroom. Another thing that I really appreciate about Guidepost at Kendall Park is that they are transparent about tuition and there is no additional payment every month (except if you want to enroll your child in a summer sport camp which is optional), unlike some of other daycare centers that charge additional costs for materials, etc. Also, I appreciate how Guidepost at Kendall Park never asks or expects parents to sign up to bring small gifts or snacks to school for teachers/students on some occasions such as teacher appreciation day, valentine's day, etc. (this is purely based on personal values). This is really different from what I have heard from some of my friends who send their children to other daycares. Oh and they just started Water Play Day once a week this summer without additional charge too. My child loves the Water Play Day! The Head and Assistant Heads of School are amazing. They really spend time interacting with children and getting to know them and their families. As a parent, I feel at peace about sending my child to Guidepost and Kendall Park because I know that they strive to provide the most developmentally appropriate care for my child with passion and understanding. They are efficient about communication with parents/caregivers too! I always feel comfortable reaching out to the guides and Head of school with questions. Hope I did not miss anything that I appreciate about Guidepost at Kendall Park!
